It was Strictly glamour in Milton Keynes on 9th May as Nadiya Bychkova graced the stage with an intimate and deeply personal special event.

 

 

As VIP guests, we were invited to a pre-show meet and greet which gave us a chance to chat and have photographs taken with the two time World Champion and European Champion in Ballroom and Latin ’10’ Dance. Nadiya, unsurprisingly, was incredibly warm and welcoming, taking time to chat with everyone and being genuinely interested in her fans as we took turns to borrow a little of her time. It was a genuine pleasure to meet this delightful and charming lady.

From the moment Nadiya  stepped onto the stage, it was clear that this would be no ordinary night. The “Strictly Come Dancing” star brought not only her trademark poise and precision but also an unexpected intimacy that captivated the audience entirely. 

 

The evening unfolded like a perfectly choreographed routine, fluid, heartfelt, and full of surprises including an audience participation salsa lesson and waltz practice. 

Nadiya enchanted the audience with her storytelling as much as with her dancing. Between dazzling routines, she offered glimpses into her journey: from the ballroom floors of Europe to the bright lights of the BBC. The show was interwoven with video footage of Nadiya growing up in the world of dance, from ‘five year old Nadiya’ with the brightest dream to the glittering superstar she is today. Her charisma was effortless, her warmth genuine.

Each dance was a masterclass in style. Whether it was a sultry rumba or an emotional contemporary piece, Nadiya’s movements spoke louder than words. Her chemistry with her dance partner, British Ballroom Champion James Cutler, who matched her step for step, added another layer of intensity to the night.

 

Nadiya is a perfect storyteller, she regales from the heart and is also very funny.  The interaction between her and James – and audience members – is authentic and natural.  The ‘interview’ and Q&A section revealed Nadiya’s true beautiful personality, there can be no faking such positive and frank openness. We got a peek into behind the scenes stories from our beloved Strictly, her professional journey as well as a heartfelt narrative of her personal life. Nadiya exudes passion, determination and love for all she holds dear and that is palpable throughout the event.

By the end of the evening, the audience wasn’t just applauding her talent, we were applauding her spirit, bravery and outstanding life story and achievements. In a world of polished performances, Nadiya Bychkova reminded us of the beauty that comes from dancing not just with your feet, but with your heart.

In all, it was a mesmerizing evening of artistry, elegance, and authentic connection.
