Mind Mangler: Member of the Tragic Circle
Henry Lewis and Jonathan Sayer, creators of the global smash hit The Play That Goes Wrong and BBC series The Goes Wrong Show, return on tour with Mischief’s riotous new comedy MIND MANGLER: MEMBER OF THE TRAGIC CIRCLE.
The Mind Mangler show, presented by Mischief Theatre, offers a unique blend of comedy and magic that keeps the audience engaged and entertained from start to finish! It is a laugh out loud show, I absolutely loved it! It was hilarious and very cleverly performed by the Mind Mangler, portrayed by Henry Lewis, and his stooge, Jonathan Sayer. Both deliver a remarkable performance filled with intentional and unintentional humour, as they attempt a range of magic trickery, crafty jokes, audience participation and a comedic narrative that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
The show takes you on a rollercoaster of laughs. Audience participation is a significant aspect to the show. I thought this was very cleverly executed, and what a fabulous audience we had at Milton Keynes! Secrets were revealed, minds were read, names guessed (well almost) and the Mind Mangler’s interactions with the audience members, whether they are ‘randomly’ selected or seemingly planted stooges, contribute to the overall magic of the show. It may even blow your mind…mind..mind!
I do not want to give to much away and spoil the magic, but the Mind Mangler’s final act is a testament to the show’s ability to blend comedy with impressive magical acts. For a night of mischief and laughter, the Mind Mangler is the ticket to choose! You will not be disappointed. I already knew this was going to be a spectacular show after previously watching ‘The play that goes wrong’, but this show was one of the best comedies I have seen on stage, and with only two cast members, I was tremendously amazed!
The Mind Mangler show is a must-see for those who enjoy a good laugh and appreciate the art of magic. Will the Mind Mangler be able to read your mind..mind..mind!?
