A spectacular choreographed collision of styles explodes across the stage – b-girling, b-boying, breakdance, street, contemporary, balletic, expressive, hip-hop – rhythm layered on rhythm, energy feeding energy.
The circus elements are mind-blowing: aerials, silks, straps, cyr wheel, parkour and a stunt trail bike to name but a few!
Gravity-defying flips, spins and tricks unfold at dizzying speed with pure precision, power and poise where adrenaline meets artistry, it’s constantly daring, defiant and dazzling.
The energy doesn’t stop at the stage, it spills into the audience as cast members charge through the crowd, turning the theatre into a playground of motion and mayhem. It’s a celebration for the eyes and the heart, exactly as Co-Founder Jeannot Painchard describes.
The lighting and cityscape backdrop are stunning and vibrant, transporting you through city streets and scenes, and that stunning window scene, for me, was so cinematic and clever.
Amid the chaos, moments of stillness shine through especially from the female duets which were raw and emotional, tender yet fierce.
The score by Jean-Phi Goncalves and Alex McMahon amplifies every heartbeat – thunderous, delicate and perfectly timed to the drama unfolding on stage.
The phenomenal cast: Alexia Medesan, Adam Dransfield, Bryan “Slinky” Boyer, Lakesshia “Kiki” Pierre, Trevor Bodogh, JP Deltell, Kayden Woodridge, Christophe Bate and Florence Amar all deliver artistry, agility and awe with every breath and movement. Throughout, every performer moves with passion and precision, making the impossible look effortless.
By the end, I was buzzing, breathless, elated, completely high on wonder. The post-show Q&A added a lovely layer of connection and intimacy as we met some of the cast members, offering a fascinating glimpse into the creativity, production and technical mastery behind it all. Electrifying, intoxicating, awe-inspiring, iD Reloaded is pure exhilaration, a masterclass in movement, energy and emotion.
This show is a unique and innovative masterpiece, a dazzling blend of diversity and techno magic that bursts with infectious energy. It’s a phenomenal experience that captivates from start to finish, leaving you in awe of its creativity and brilliance. Quite simply, it’s an absolute must-see wonder.
