Experience a vibrant reimagining of a classic tale with Carlos Acosta’s Nutcracker in Havana at Milton Keynes Theatre on Friday, 17 January, and Saturday, 18 January 2025. This innovative production infuses the beloved holiday ballet with the rich cultural flavors of Cuba, offering audiences a unique and exhilarating performance.

Renowned dancer and choreographer Carlos Acosta CBE brings his creative vision to life, featuring new choreography performed by over 20 dancers from his Cuban company, Acosta Danza. The production is set to a newly commissioned Cuban version of Tchaikovsky’s iconic score, arranged by Cuban composer Pepe Gavilondo, blending classical music with vibrant Cuban rhythms.

The story follows Clara in her humble Havana home as she embarks on an extraordinary journey after receiving a Nutcracker doll. Audiences will be transported from the warm streets of Havana to the enchanting Land of Sweets, experiencing a fusion of ballet and Cuban dance traditions. The production boasts spectacular video projections and set design by Nina Dunn, lighting by Andrew Exeter, and costumes by Angelo Alberto, creating a visually stunning spectacle.

Performances are scheduled for Friday at 7:30 PM and Saturday at 2:30 PM and 7:30 PM. Tickets start at £24.00, with a transaction fee of £3.95. For group bookings of 10 or more, contact 020 7206 1174.
