– 7:30 PM: In a Key of Her Own by Suzette Coon
This powerful play tells the story of two women—Fanny Mendelssohn in 1846, whose compositions were published under her brother’s name, and a modern-day music student fighting for female representation in the arts. Based on true events, the play tackles gender inequality in the music world.
– 8:30 PM: Fifty Cups of Tea by Rosemary Hill
Set in 1938, this play explores a group of women who organize a boycott against nations involved in warfare. Led by Princess Indira of Kapurthala, the play highlights the strength of female protest and resistance.
– 9:00 PM: Q&A: “Where do we go from here?”
