About the Event
The Parks Trust invites families to a joyous weekly outdoor play session tailored to toddlers and pre-schoolers under the age of five. Held in a dedicated woodland area inside Howe Park Wood, these sessions offer children a safe, welcoming environment to explore, play, and connect with nature.
What’s Happening
-
🌿 Nature-based play and exploration: Kids can ‘cook’ in mud kitchens, balance on ropes, swing in hammocks, play in water, explore the woods, and gather natural treasures.
-
🪵 Creative, sensory activities: Sessions often include imaginative play, crafts, storytelling, and encouragement of creativity, all inspired by the natural surroundings.
-
☔ All-weather adventure: The sessions run in all but the most extreme weather — so dress for outdoors, come rain or shine.
Why Attend?
-
✅ Early childhood development: Nature play supports sensory stimulation, creativity, physical coordination, and social skills — ideal for toddlers’ growth and confidence.
-
👪 Family bonding & social time: It’s a chance for children, parents and carers to connect with other families in a relaxed, nature-loving setting.
-
🌲 A wonderful start to outdoor adventures: For many toddlers, Tree Tots may be their first woodland experience — a gentle, guided introduction to the natural world.
