About the Event
The Wolverton Scarecrow Festival has been a much-loved tradition since 2004, founded by community members including the late Denise Illett. Each year, residents and visitors alike create imaginative scarecrows – from Postman Pat to robots and even burglars climbing drainpipes – and display them outside their homes or at community spaces.
The festival is open to everyone, not just Wolverton residents. If you’d like your scarecrow featured on the festival map, simply contact the Town Council Office in advance. Maps will be available online, from the Town Hall, and at the Wolverton Street Market on Sunday.
At the Wolverton Community Orchard, open on Saturday from 12pm–4pm, volunteers will serve refreshments (cash only) and run mini-scarecrow making activities for families. The orchard also hosts part of the scarecrow trail.
