Ghost Stories Review (A Spine-Chilling Theatre Experience)
Ghost Stories MK Theatre 2025 Review

Superbly Unsettling

Ghost Stories – written by the horror legends that are Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman – is a truly terrifying theatre experience. Up close and personal to absolute fear and dread, I was tense with nervous apprehension from beginning to end.

Described as “Genuine scary fun” and noted for “exhilarating audiences,” Ghost Stories, a Simon Friend Entertainment Ltd Production, will have you on the edge of your seat, your nerves in shreds…

This Ghost Stories Tour review wouldn’t be complete without highlighting its gripping plot: When Professor Goodman, arch sceptic out to debunk the paranormal, embarks on an investigation of three apparent hauntings – as recounted by a night-watchman, a teenage boy and a businessman awaiting his first child – Goodman finds himself at the outer limits of rationality and fast running out of explanations.

The set, design, staging, lighting, and production are intensely phenomenal, atmospheric to the hilt, and immersive beyond imagination.

The cast is sublime and fit the roles perfectly:

  • Dan Tetsell – Professor Goodman
  • David Cardy – Tony Matthews
  • Eddie Loodmer-Elliott – Simon Rifkind
  • Clive Mantle – Mike Priddle

The creative and production team completely surpass themselves.

This Ghost Stories Tour review wouldn’t do justice without emphasizing just how uniquely unsettling the experience is—truly a must-see for horror fans.

And that’s it, other than to say it’s Superbly Unsettling.
Absolutely no spoilers.
The Secrets and the Story stay in the theatre.
