Milton Keynes Fireworks Spectacular at Campbell Park Cancelled Due to Lack of Funding

It is with great disappointment that we announce the cancellation of the beloved Milton Keynes Fireworks Spectacular at Campbell Park, an event that has been a cherished tradition in the community for over four decades. Unfortunately, due to a lack of funding, the fireworks display will not take place this year.

For the past 43 years, the event has been organised by Keith Emmett & Sons, a name synonymous with this spectacular display. The Emmett family has worked tirelessly to bring joy to thousands of spectators, making the annual fireworks show one of the highlights of the Milton Keynes calendar. Families, friends, and visitors have gathered every year to watch the skies over Campbell Park light up with vibrant colors, celebrating the tradition of Bonfire Night.

However, despite their commitment to the event, rising costs and challenges with securing sufficient financial support have made it impossible for the organisers to continue this year. Hosting such a large-scale event involves substantial expenses, including safety measures, staffing, equipment, and, of course, the fireworks themselves. Unfortunately, this year’s funding efforts fell short, leaving Keith Emmett & Sons with no choice but to cancel.

This announcement comes as a disappointment not only to the organisers but also to the thousands of people who have attended the fireworks display year after year.  However, the financial realities of running such a large event have proven to be too great an obstacle this time.

Keith Emmett & Sons have expressed their deep regret and gratitude for the unwavering support they’ve received over the years. They have always been passionate about delivering a top-tier event, but they are unable to continue without the necessary funding.

While the future of the Milton Keynes Fireworks Spectacular remains uncertain, the organisers hope that with sufficient backing, the event might return in the future. For now, however, the display at Campbell Park will be sorely missed by the Milton Keynes community.

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see the skies of Milton Keynes light up once again in the near future.
